Q: Do leopard geckos smell?
A: Leopard gecko scat does have a small oder, but nothing serious.

Q: Are leopard geckos dangerous?
A: Leopard geckos themself are not dangerous, however all reptiles carry salmonella. You should always wash your hands before after touching any reptile or items in the reptiles cage.

Q: Do leopard geckos bite?
A: Anything with a mouth can bite, but it is rare to get bitten by a leopard gecko.

Q: Does it hurt if I get bitten?
A: It might scare you a little, but the bite itself isn't bad at all.

Q: Are leopard geckos good pets for children?
A: That depends on your child. If your child wants a pet they can train, and dress up, then the answer is no.

Q: Do I really need a lid on the tank?
A: Leopard geckos can't climb the glass, however they can jump a short distance. If you don't have a lid, make sure that your leopard geckos hide, and cage decorations can't be used as a platform for jumping. Lids also make sure things don't fall in the tank as well. If you own other animals such as cats, dogs, or even birds you most certainly want a lid on your leopard geckos tank.

Q: How much will my leopard gecko eat?
A: That depends on it's age. A baby leopard gecko eats like a horse, and must be feed daily. However, adults (with the exception of breeding females) eat much less, and only need to be feed every other day.

Q: Is it all worth while?
A: Yes! I love my little leo's.

Q: Why do some geckos cost more then others?
A: Price depends of the gecko, and the breeder. If the gecko is a rare or desired morph you can expect to pay more. If the breeder had a great season, then you can find deals. Also some geckos loose toes, their tail, or get a nip which makes them grade "B". These are considered to have flaws and in return are not worth as much.

Q: How do I know if I'm buying from a good breeder?
A: A good breeder will answer all your questions, and be honest about the gecko in question. If the breeder forgets details such as missing toes or regenerated tail, then you need to question their honesty. Some people are just in it for the money. An honest breeder will say "this one is missing a toe, so I'm only asking $XXX for it" where others will hope you don't notice.

Q: Why should I get my gecko from you?
A: I'm a honest person, who loves my geckos very much. I put 100% into each and every one of them. However, if I don't have something your looking for, PLEASE don't settle for less, and adopt something from me. When you find what your looking for your will know.

Q: What do I feed my leopard gecko?
A: Every leopard gecko is different. I offer mine mealworms, crickets, and calcium worms. Once a week I will give my adult leopard geckos a waxworm, but these are for treats only due to there fat content. Always ask the person you buy your leopard gecko from what it is use to eating. Sometimes you run across a picky gecko that only likes one thing.
